A community event for mental health

It’s Okay to Fall

Co-hosted by Illini Union Board and Illini Creative Impact

What if an entire campus came together to make one artwork?

On November 10, add your mark to a collective artwork for mental health. Together, we’re making a reminder that no one has to face hard things alone.

Free to attend, free giveaways, no art experience needed.

The centerpiece

Leave your mark on something bigger.

Throughout the day, the Illinois community turns blank boards into one collective artwork for mental health. Add a drawing, a color, or a few words. Every contribution becomes part of something we make together.

  • No experience needed

A community-wide beginning

We’re bringing together students, faculty, university leaders, and community partners to begin a shared work of art. Each contribution is a message of encouragement, connection, and support for mental health across our campus.

A campus-wide invitation

Bring your organization

Mental health is easier to talk about when there’s a low-pressure way in. Making something side by side, and seeing what others have added, opens that conversation without asking anyone to speak first.

Students in Illini Creative Impact are organizing the day, but it’s meant to belong to the whole campus. We’re inviting student organizations, departments, and community groups to help make it, as contributors to the work rather than names on a banner.

Ways to contribute

  1. Bring your members

Come together and add to the artwork as a group.

  2. Lead an activity

Host a drawing or craft station that reflects your community.

  3. Contribute art

Share work from your members on the walls.

  4. Share mental health resources

Help visitors find information and support.

  5. Help spread the word

Share the invitation with your members, students, or colleagues.

Student organizations

Host a drawing table, bring your members to add to the artwork, or share artwork.

Mental health and community organizations

Share information and resources with students at the event.

Faculty, departments, and university leaders

Tell your students about it, stop by during the day, or help with the opening.

Bring your community along. Whether you represent a college, department, student organization, or campus office, encourage the people you work with to add their voices too.

  1. Make your mark

Add a drawing, a color, or a few words to the collective artwork.

  2. Share the moment

Take a photo in front of the artwork. Our team is happy to take it for you.
